Buyer Testimonials
I have a tiny squadron of mini helicopters and this a single is by far the greatest so far. I read superb evaluations of the Syma S107. I was very pleased with it compared to some of the older Syma models. Then I saw the positive testimonials for this and thought I would give it a go. It flies extremely well! Quiter than the other seven helicopters I have and so stable, smooth, and responsive. It is a little slow with forward and reverse momentum, but not negative. Slow is simpler to control...possibly that was intentional. We fly these every day in the workplace and this hands down outperforms everthing else.
For those comparing models, right here you go:
Syma S109 Apache- Remarkable
Syma S105G (Sport Helicopter) Incredibly Good -Fastest, stable, but somewhat loud, durable metal frame
Syma S107G- (Sport Helicopter) Rather beneficial- almost identical to S105 but a tiny slower, completely different scheme, older?
Syma S026 Chinook- Looks cool, flies ok, but tough to control. As well a lot power for its weight 'Cieling magnet'
Syma S013 Black Hawk- Horrible! Especially light, spins uncontrollably, fragile
Syma S013 Apache- See S013 Black Hawk critique. (buddy purchased this one to join the fun: nothing but regrets)
Heard the S108G Cobra is beneficial too but have not tried it. My deployment to Iraq is just about over, so I possibly won't be obtaining any much more toys.
What a distinction a gyro tends to make! Unbelievable...I tried 1 of the 1st gen micro R/C copters (no gyro on those) not long immediately after they came out, and located them to be exceptionally complicated to manage and not much entertaining considering of it.
This generation with the gyro is just astounding even though...SO stable, SO quick - but not boring. There is nonetheless a understanding curve for complete R/C noobies that will make this a great first R/C copter, but I look at it almost like a challenge...attempting to master this tiny beast is Fun!
This also essentially looks like a genuine helicopter, compared to the ones I purchased previously, which looked like....properly like R/C copters - completely unrealistic.
The LED lights are amazing so you can fly at night (my children Really like that - the dog...not so much), and the thing even seems to behave like a true helicopter, with ground effect and having to reduce speed (thrust?) to tilt forward (I am no pilot or physicist, but I do know that the previous models I tried did not give me any type of sense of "this factor FEELS like I am flying a real helicopter!")
Gonna quit now given that I sound like I perform for the corporation (not even certain who the provider is actually, but whoever it is, they sorely have to have an English native to write the English element of the instruction manual!)
Can not advocate this sufficient. Straightforward quick five stars.
FYI if you are interested in modding your Syma (particularly, the low-cost, easy and great tail rotor mod that tends to make it more rapidly and far more agile), you really should get the model that looks like the R/C copter (107G I think). Found this out the tough way, but I still choose this a single for the looks. Video of the mod results: [...]
