I got this to mod my S107g. This balance bar has removable weights.
I read that a lighter balance bar would let for a lot more responsive vertical changes, as the principal rotor could modify speeds quicker with less weight to spin up and down.
With the weights out, it was a tiny unbalanced even though. I used a title bit of tissue paper to balance it out.
This worked as described and really gave much more responsive forward/backward adjustments as well, but with some side effects. For the reason that the bar is lighter, it acts less as an gyroscope and corrects it's horizontal leveling more quickly than ahead of. This causes the helicopter to "swing" back, slightly, the way it came immediately after stops and limits the total distance of forward movement to about ten feet before it "swings" back. Even if you still have forward on full. This got old speedy and I place the weights back in.
Nevertheless functions as an excellent balance bar with optional weight adjustments.
